for longevity of your flowers, remove them from their wrapping as soon as possible, recut the stems on an angle and place in a fresh vase of water. 

change the water and recut the stems every few days. keep an eye on the water level and top it up if they're drinking quickly. 

keep flowers out of direct sunlight, and ideally away heaters/air conditioners. 

you may wish to remove the twine around the stems, depending on the vase you have on hand. a vase with a narrow top will keep the design more structured, while a vase with a wide top may cause flowers to reshuffle a little. 

when your flowers are at the end of their life, pop them in your green waste bin or compost.
